I’ve recently fallen back in love with walking. I’ve never been a person who loves to exercise and I don’t like going to the gym.
But I do love movement. I like yoga and I love dance. I love hiking and walking. Going for a leisurely stroll is one of my favourite pastimes. Getting to hear the birds and feel the sun and breeze on my face is one of the things in the life that truly brings me joy.
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve found myself with enough free time in the morning before I start my 9-5 that I started going on daily walks.
Other than doing yoga six days a week when I was in grad school, these daily walks might be the longest commitment I’ve ever made to fitness.
And it’s been incredible.
