Tiny, Alternative and Unique Stays in Seattle

I’ve always wanted to go to Seattle. I couldn’t tell you why but I know I’ve always wanted to. As luck would have it, my boyfriend gave me an extended long weekend trip to Seattle at the end of February.

The west coast has always held a special place in my heart. When I was in grad school, I had the opportunity to go to multiple cities in B.C. (Vancouver, Prince George, Vancouver Island) for conferences. Something about the misty weather and the incredible landscape always took my breathe away.

So when my boyfriend gave me this trip to Seattle for Christmas, I was pretty excited.

I was even more pumped when he told me where we’d be staying: a hobbit house, a yurt and a tiny house on wheels.

In case the ‘tiny’ in Tiny Ambitions’ wasn’t obvious enough, I have been obsessed with tiny houses for almost a decade. So much so that I’ve spent countless hours planning my own. Until this trip though, I had never actually set foot inside of a tiny house. Watched dozens of videos on YouTube of tours, yes. Seen the outside of them on drives across Ontario, yes. But I had never set foot in one until this trip.

The first night, we stayed in a hobbit house on Bainbridge Island. On night two, we stayed in a yurt that completely changed my life. On our last night, I got to experience the holy grail - an actual tiny house on wheels. This review is a long one so let’s get into it!
